The Minutes of the Ju= ly meeting were approved by the Committee.

E Mail from Mr Horrig= an thanking Committee for agreeing to install sign re dogs being kept on a sho= rt lead.  Ms Kirsopp proposed tha= t the clerk now order a sign, seconded Mrs Ashdown.

Letter from Roy Garto= n re request for Precept 2011.

E Mails from Roy Gart= on re planning application for the land adjacent to Barnton Cricket Club.

 

11/2010        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;  GROUNDS MAINTENANCE REPORT

The clerk confirmed t= hat she had asked John Hughes to clear and weed kill the land behind the big wooden gate near the allotments, to weed kill alongside the fence (near the bungal= ows in Hayes Drive) and to replace the wooden cover on one of the taps in the Cemetery.

 

12/2010        &= nbsp;          &= nbsp;   FINANCIAL REPORT

A Statement of Accoun= ts as at 30th September 2010 was presented showing a balance of

£7242.59. 

Mr Reading proposed t= hat the accounts be accepted, seconded Mrs Ashdown.

The clerk confirmed t= hat she had received reports from both the Internal and External Auditors, both giv= ing clean reports for the acccounts for the last financial year.

 

 

 

 

 

13/2010        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;  PRECEPT 2011

The Statement of Acco= unts as at 30th September 2010 was reviewed in detail and a discussion t= ook place regarding the balance and also any expenditure which would be required upto the

year end.  The Chairman said that she hoped i= n time that the Cemetery would be self supporting and that the Cemetery Fees/Allot= ment Fees (due to be reviewed at the next meeting in January)<= /p>

would need to be rais= ed.

The Chairman proposed= a request for a Precept of £4000.00, seconded Mr Reading.

Clerk to write a lett= er of request to Roy Garton.

 

14/2010        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;  DEEDS AND MEMORIALS

Memorials & Inscr= iptions received since last meeting:-

Inscriptions -   Green (LC159A), Rutter (UNCO= N63) and Elsby (LC229).

Memorials -  Adamson (LC225A), Yoxall (LC385), = Bell (224A) and Archer (LC479).

 

The clerk raised a ma= tter concerning the digging of graves and said that she had

spoken to F Hayes reg= arding their grave digger digging the graves too early and that the grave

(which could not be s= een from the road) could have been a danger should children have entered the Cemetery.  Mrs Townhill (the f= uneral director from F Hayes) had agreed with the clerk and both Mrs Townhill and = the clerk had spoken to the grave digger concerned.

 

The meeting closed at=   8 pm.

 

The next meeting to b= e held on Jan 10th 2011  <= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> at Barnton Memorial Hall.
