MINUTE P&RG 033/01/10 – CHESHIRE WEST & CHESTER COUNCIL ̵= 1;

&nb= sp; = &nb= sp; = Contributions to Parish Play Areas:

The Clerk reported that most of the Play Equipm= ent on the Runcorn Road Recreation Area was nearing the end of its useful life, and that Members might like to consider the installation of a multi-use games a= rea to replace climbing frames and goal posts.

AGREED:

That the Clerk proceed with a grant application= under the terms of the offer received from CWAC with a view to installing a multi= -use games area, as discussed.

MINUTE P&RG 034/01/10 – BUDGET & PRECEPT FOR 2010/2011:

The Clerk submitted a schedule of expenditure f= or 2010 / 2011 which had been prepared for the next full council meeting.=

NOTED: that the figures included £8,000 a= nd £4,000 under two headings which

&nb= sp; related to this Committee, excepting the £1,500 which had already been

&nb= sp; allocated to related activit= ies advised by the Barnton Parish Plan &n= bsp; = ; &n= bsp; Implementation Gr= oup (BPPIG).

MINUTE P&RG 035/01/10 – STREET FURNIT= URE AND RELATED ITEMS:

MINUTE P&RG 008/9/09 Refers:

A general discussion drew attention to priority= areas for improvement (some of which had already been identified by the BPPIG). T= hese included attractive planters and raised beds at the entrance to the Village= , at the Lydyett Lane/Broadway junction, and the corner of Lydyett Lane/Church R= oad.

NOTED: that these proposals required the approv= al of the Highways Authority which the Clerk agreed to progress.

MINUTE P&RG 036/01/10 – RECREATION GR= OUNDS – Safety Inspections:

The Safety Inspector had reported a small numbe= r of low risk issues in his reports for November and December. These would all be resolved at minimum expense within the current budget provision.=

NOTED.

MINUTE P&RG 037/01/10 – RECREATION GR= OUNDS – Lighting:

The Electrician had still to resolve the time c= lock mechanism on the Nursery Road Recreation Ground, but the timing equipment w= as now secure.

NOTED.

MINUTE P&RG 038/01/10 – LITTER BINS A= ND LITTER COLLECTION:

Ms Vickers reported on progress and the intenti= on to seek volunteers to assist with clearing specific areas on a regular basis. = CWAC had indicated that it will empty 2 additional bins located at:

i) &= nbsp; the lay-by on Barnton Hill

ii) = the seat on the canal path towards Saltersford.

These had been requested by the BPPIG and the C= lerk agreed to ensure that appropriate agreements are reached, prior to installation.

MINUTE P&RG 039/01/10 – DESIGNATED PU= BLIC PLACE ORDERS:

The Lead Safety Officer (CWAC) had still to fin= alise his review of proposals.
